In 2021, in addition to the mandatory red/black combination, table tennis rubbers in other colours were approved for use on blades for the first time in official ITTF table tennis tournaments. andro was one of the first manufacturers to offer coloured competition rubbers. We really went all out with the colours for the market launch. The idea and inspiration came from the Indian festival of colours, also known as Holi.

We focused on a digital display campaign at the relevant touchpoints of the table tennis community. To maximise engagement and interaction, the key visual were produced as a videos. Authentic slow-motion images of andro players were combined with 3D animation of a colour explosion. Various hero teasers were adapted from this for the andro landing page. The matching headline ‘add colour to your play’ became the campaign's effective call to action.

Key visuals

The animated GIF banners served as templates for additional static banners and ads for print and online communication.

Social media

In addition to the colour explosion reels, various posts were created for social media channels, using short, snappy wordplay to tie in with the theme of ‘new colours’.
